Hasselblad's 50MP multi-shot monster
Hasselblad H3DII – yours for spare 16K
What do you get when you ask the best camera-maker in the world to design a 50MP digital SLR? Hasselblad’s H3DII-50, that’s what.
With a medium-format sensor twice the size of a full-frame SLR’s, and all those megapixels on tap, you won’t be surprised to hear that each spectacular photo you take with this beast will be 300MB in size (though there are other models going down to a positively miniscule 22MP too).
Now, thanks to an update just announced, the H3DII-50 features a four-shot Multi Shot burst mode to chew through 1.2GB in just moments.
The H3DII-50 comes with a 3in digital viewfinder, geotagging and a revamped menu system (for anyone actually familiar with Hasselblad’s existing menu system).
It works with the big H’s existing HC and HCD lens ranges, and can be yours for £16,000 and change – though helpfully, anyone who already owns one of the lesser models in the range can trade up at a discount. We won’t even tell you what the lenses cost.
