Griffin outs range of iPad accessories
The iPad-loving Elan Passport
We haven’t even been given a UK launch date for the Apple iPad but the mobile accessories are already coming out of the woodwork.
Griffin has been particularly quick off the mark, announcing a whole line of iPad-related goodies designed to protect your coveted Apple tablet without cramping its style.
First up is the Elan Passport, a one-piece folio that opens like a book to reveal inner pockets for cards, papers and the like. The suede inner lining makes sure your tablet is kept clean and clear of nasty scratches and scrapes.
For a more traditional pouch, the Elan Sleeve is what you’re looking for. The iPad slides in from the top, with a tab closure flipping down to secure it. The Sleeve is also dressed in suede inside, while a stain-resistant synthetic outer shell provides protection without compromising your ability to easily stow your tablet away in a backpack or briefcase.
Alternatively there’s the Jumper, which does much the same job but in soft and stretchy neoprene, providing an even lower profile and weight while still protecting the iPad from the elements.
The FlexGrip takes a more open-top approach, snugly encasing your iPad in durable silicone but leaving the screen open to the breeze and still leaving the audio out jack and dock connector accessible.
And because you’re likely to be spending most of your time showing off your new iPad to your mates, Griffin also offers a screen care kit, including a premium cleaning cloth and static peel screen protectors to protect your new best friend from prodding digits.
Griffin says its iPad accessories will be launched in the UK when the iPad itself is available, which should be around June.
