Gran Turismo 5 Spec II confirmed for February launch
Sony has confirmed a Spec II upgrade of its flagship Gran Turismo 5 driving simulation will be released in February next year.
But before you get too excited, turns out it’ll simply be an official release that rolls in the original GT5 title plus all the content from the version 2.00 update made public in October, as well as a download code for the Complete Pack of extra content that surfaced around the same time.

Gran Turismo 5 itself remains one of the most waited-on titles in PS3 history, with fans having patiently sat through months of delays after being teased by a Prologue release well over two years before the finished product finally went on sale.
GT5 Spec II will go on sale in Japan on February 2 for 4,980 yen – the equivalent of around £40 – with a playable demo set to be on site at the week-long Tokyo Motor Show, which kicks off tomorrow.
As yet there’s been no confirmation of an official UK launch date for Gran Turismo 5 Spec II, but hopefully it won’t come too long after its early-February Japanese debut.
