Get your New Year’s party started…

The Gadget Show  Tuesday 30 December 2008

Get your New Year’s party started… Make sure your New Year’s party doesn’t blow chunks with these top party starters…

1 Wunderbar Beer Chill Dispenser First things first. Alcohol. Because people like to drink at parties. So, why not serve up your New Year’s guests some lovely chilled, draught beer from this mini beer dispenser, complete with five-litre keg. Just remember to drink sensibly, please!

2 Drill Blender Moving onto cocktails, the best way to get people chatting about the party of the decade, is with the Drill Blender. Everyone will remember the man who mixed their cocktail with a power tool. Then you can quickly fix that loose kitchen door as well. Handy.

3 Mech-RC Robots Get a couple of these fellas running around your party and the rest of the guests will soon be performing the robot on the dancefloor. Trust us, it never goes out of fashion. Not even when seven-foot tall footballers are doing it!

4 Rock Band 2 You need a live band at your party, so why not have one that includes you as the lead. Rock Band 2 on the Xbox 360 allows you and your mates to get on the mic, guitars and drums and ruin some classic originals. Guaranteed to get your party rocking, or not, it depends how good you are.

5 The Foam Factory All great parties have foam. Have you never been to Ibiza? You can get the soapy suds building up in your house with the Foam Factory. In under three minutes your lounge will look like someone’s left the washing machine door open. Desired effect – delivered!
