Get up to £315 off a new Apple Mac, with £65 of free apps!
Students already get a good deal when it comes to Apple kit, with big savings on offer. The latest deal means you’ll get even more back if you buy an Apple Mac, and runs from today until September 20th. Read on to find out more.
The latest deal from Apple sees students getting £65 free to spend on apps at the Mac App Store. It comes in the form of a gift card, and you’ll also be able to use it in the App Store, the iTunes Store and the iBookstore.
With other savings on offer to students, it means that you could save between £122 and £315, depending on the model you buy. It’s not the first time we’ve seen additional deals on Apple kit – but this is the first time the deal has concentrated on apps rather than hardware like the iPod.
And, while we’d love a free iPod, we can certainly understand the switch to apps – after all, if you’re just heading off to uni then getting £65 off the latest software will at least give you the money to have a night or two out on the town.
What do you think? Would you rather get £65 off apps, or have a free iPod when you buy a new MacBook, iMac or MacBook Pro? Leave a comment and let us know.

Well most people will already have an iPod and several of those will be iPod touch's so I think this is a good way to both promote the app store and not give away a product that will otherwise be sold on eBay (although since I don't have a iPod touch I would rather have that :))
