Philips Net TV: never leave the sofa again
Couch potatoes of the world rejoice! No longer do you need to get up, move to another room and switch on the PC just to settle an argument about what other films that bloke from Forgetting Sarah Marshall was in. Behold Philips Net TV.
If you’re the lucky owner of either an 8000 series, 9000 series or super swanky Cinema 21:9 set you’ll be able to surf the internet from your sofa come April.
Philips has got a load of sites on board – like YouTube, eBay and TomTom – to make sure that they look tip top when you’re browsing them via your TV. If you’re feeling brave, then you can load up other websites too, but you may need to squint to make out some of the details.
The 9000 series and Cinema 21:9 sets can use Wi-Fi for a no mess connection, while the 8000 series just needs an ethernet cable stuck in its port to get going. Careful, though, as you may find you never have to leave the comfort of your sofa ever again.
