FujiFilm Real 3D W3 camera with 3D video arrives FujiFilm 3D W3 – new 3D snapper

FujiFilm has just announced the FujiFilm 3D W3 – a new addition to its 3D roster. The new compact camera is a successor to the FujiFilm FinePix 3D W1 that was released to much fanfare last year, but FujiFilm claims that there are some big changes under the W3’s bonnet that will take 3D imaging to the next dimension.

The most impressive upgrade is the FinePix 3D W3 is that it will record 3D HD video clips. They’re only in 720p, but this makes the cam the only way to shoot HD 3D unless you want to shell out for a Panasonic HD 3D camcorder rig at over a grand.

The FinePix Real 3D W3 also packs in two 10 megapixel CCD sensors, and those all-important dual lenses. Thanks to the lenticular 3D screen on the W3, you can view your 3D masterpiece in 3D without the need for 3D specs. There’s also an HDMI out so that you can also enjoy them on a 3D-enabled TV.

Thanks to the dual controls inside, you can also take two different 2D shots simultaneously, tweaking light settings so that you can compare shots on the hoof – great for deciding the correct exposure for any image.

The Finepix Real 3D W3 will be on sale at the end of September, priced at £399. If you head on over to the FujiFilm site, you’ll see a video of the snapper in action.
