Freecom touts super-tough hard drive
The hardest hard drive in town?
Active types who want to carry 500GB of extra storage around with them whilst climbing a rock face or cycling through a ravine are in luck – Freecom has just launched a hardy hard drive called the ToughDrive Sport.
The ToughDrive is covered in a rubbery casing and comes with an anti-shock mechanism, which work together to ensure it’ll survive drops of up to two metres. It also comes with a loop enabling you to securely attach it to a belt or backpack. Password protection keeps your data safe in case the drive does go missing.
It’s available in 250GB, 320GB and 500GB versions, with prices starting at around £100.
