Flip Mino goes high definition
The new Flip Mino HD hops aboard the high definition bandwagon
Hi-Def tech is finally trickling down into many new mid-range and budget camcorders, and the new Flip Mino HD is the latest pocket movie-maker to enjoy the fruits of high definition. We’re big fans of the current Flip Mino, so the prospect of a Hi-Def version is extremely tantalizing.
Adding to Flip Video’s growing collection of bite-size shooters, the Flip Mino HD bring 720p HD video capture to its talents. It also comes loaded with 4GB of built-in storage, which will stomach up to around one hour of HD footage. As for juice, you’ll get a couple of hours of shooting off a single charge. Also beneath its svelte shell is spruced up software, letting you edit video footage when plugged into your computer, made even simpler thanks to its built-in USB connector.
For now it’s only available across the pond for $230 (around £155), so hopefully it won’t cost much more when it lands here. We’ll keep you posted on news of an official launch date and price when word breaks.
