Five gadgets to watch out for at CES 2012
CES 2012 – the biggest technology showcase of new gadgets begins in just a few days time. At the show will be hundreds, if not more shiny new tech playthings to feast our eyes on, so it’s impossible to see them all.
Instead here are five cool gadgets already confirmed to be making an appearance. Which are you most looking forward to hearing more about, or getting your hands on?
Samsung Series 9 monitor
It’s not often we’ll get excited about a monitor, but when they come as gorgeous as this, we can’t help but salivate. The Samsung Series 9 offers a 27-inch colour screen wrapped in a jaw-dropping aluminium design. On, or off, the Samsung Series 9 is a work of art. Natural ColourExpert technology, Samsung promises, delivers some of the best look pictures you’ll see on any monitor. We don’t have a price yet, and you’ll have to wait till March to see the Samsung Series 9 in stores, but it already looks worth the wait.

LG’s 55-inch record-breaking OLED television
LG began 2012 by announcing a new 55-inch OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) television. It’s the world’s largest, and is just 4-mm thin. LG says its cost will be lower than expected – a bonus for all gadget lovers. A display up to 1,000 times faster than LEFD nad LCD displays will ensure that even the most action-filled Hollywood blockbuster will look as gorgeous as the director intended it. The 55-inch OLED will go on sale later this year.

Behringer iNuke Boom: The 8ft iPod dock
What could be the world’s biggest iPad dock won’t make it to most bedrooms, but the Behringer iNuke Boom is so ridiculous we can’t help but stop and stare. It measures 8ft, 4ft tall and weighs over 700 pounds. 10,000 watts of power sounds enough to make even the most eager concert-goers ears bleed, yet we can’t help but wonder what an 8ft iPod dock sounds like.

Samsung DA-E750 audio dock for Android and Apple devices
Audio docks are often billed as Apple iPod and iPhone docks. The Samsung DA-E750 will play music from both Apple iPhone and iPod Touch and devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S. It is also Samsung’s first ever to use its hybrid vacuum amplifier technology to deliver what Samsung promises to be great sound. Wrapped up in a glossy wood finish, the Samsung DA-E750 certainly looks the business.

Etymotic ETY-Kids3 in-ear headphones designed for kids
The Etymotic ETY-Kids3 may be designed with children in mind, but there’s nothing childish about top-quality headphones designed to prevent our ear drums bursting.
