Facebook lets you listen to music with your friends
Facebook has just announced a new feature that will let friends listen to music with each other at the click of a button, in an effort to make listening to music alone a more social experience.
The latest feature follows hot on the heels of the ability to see which Spotify tracks friends are listening to. Now Facebook users will be able to listen together.

To listen to music with your Facebook friends, simply look for the music note in the chat sidebar and hover over a friend’s name. Doing so will display the name of the track, artist and album that friend is listening to.
To listen with them simultaneously, click on the “Listen With” button to play the track through the service that friend is using. Facebook says the new feature will work alongside Facebook chat, so you’ll be able to natter away about the track both you and your friend are listening to.
Facebook says that for added privacy, users will be able to control who they listen with by adjusting their privacy settings.
Rollout of the service begins today, so be sure to keep an eye out. Does your Facebook account already have the feature? If so, we want to know what you think in the comments below.
