Epson Moverio BT-100 Video Glasses: A private 3D cinema you can wear

3D viewing is about to get even more personal. The Epson Moverio BT-100 Video Glasses are a pair of specs that give wearers the illusion of watching movies on a 50-inch television. You’ll also be able to stream online movies! Join us after the cut to find out more.

As more 3D televisions arrive in stores, it looks like private home cinema 3D glasses such as the Sony Personal 3D viewer and the new Epson Moverio BT-100 Video Glasses will be joining them.

Sony Personal 3D viewer hits Harrods

The Epson Moverio BT-100 Video Glasses work thanks to a pair of 0.52-inch LCD displays tucked into the headset that create the illusion of watching a 50-inch television from a more comfortable distance.

Those hoping to enjoy their favourite films will be able to store them on an SDHC card inserted into the gizmo, primed for viewing whenever they please.

World’s largest glassess-free 3D display lets you see side of objects in 3D

Owners will also be able to surf the web using built-in Wi-Fi. A flash-enabled web browser means videos can be streamed directly to the unit, so that you can check out all the latest web videos from The Gadget Show from the comfort of your own personal cinema.

The Epson Moverio BT-100 Video Glasses will be available in Japan on 25 November for around the £400.

I don't understand. If they can make this stuff surely they can make a new era of smartphones built into glasses.
