Elgato shrinks down the EyeTV!
Fancy getting TV on your Mac in discreet fashion? Then check out the Elgato EyeTV DTT Deluxe
Fancy streaming television to your Mac or iPhone via a device that can only be described as a tiny USB stick with an aerial? Well the Elgato EyeTV DTT Deluxe may have an awkward sounding name, but it’s actually the world’s smallest full-featured DVB-T stick. So small it’ll happily gather lint and dust in your pocket when not in use.
So how does the Elgato EyeTV DTT Deluxe work? Just pull out that antenna, stick it in the USB port and watch in amazement as it picks up Freeview broadcasts. Next stop: The Gadget Show live on your Mac. It even comes with a handy remote! Pair it up with the Elgato iPhone app though and you’ll be able to stream the telly on your Mac direct to your iPhone wherever you are. Awesome is a word that springs to mind.
So how much for this amazing television broadcasting sensation? Well, you can’t really put a price on getting Jason Bradbury on your Mac if you ask us, but at £79.95 it’s a snip. Oh, and it’s on sale in the UK now.

I'm really hoping you can help! I'm trying to find out whether you can connect a Nintendo Wii to an iMac (Intel). (My sons life depends on it!) Nobody seems sure, but I've been led to believe that one of the Elgato EyeTV range might work or an XLR8 ProView USB. Obviously the video output of the Wii, via a composite lead, needs to be converted to a digital signal for the Mac, presumably input via the USB2 port, but with no delay, so that game play is not spoilt. Can you shed any light on this? Regards Trevor Hutton
