EA to support Natal and PS3 Wand Virtual golf clubs at the ready... EA will be supporting Microsoft and Sony's motion-sensitive platforms! Hurrah!

EA has confirmed that it will be supporting both Project Natal and the PS3 Wand – Microsoft and Sony’s motion-sensitive response to the Nintendo Wii, with compatible titles to be announced in early to mid 2010.

The news comes as a boost to both Microsoft and Sony as EA produces some of the best sports games in gaming, including FIFA and Tiger Woods golf. The news was broken by EA head honcho John Riccitiello during a financial call. He stated that EA was really positive about both technologies: “We’re planning to support both. We haven’t yet announced our plans to do so, but we shall do so in the right time-frame for that.”

Bith Project Natal and the Sony Wand are still yet to have concrete release dates. The PS3 Wand is believed to have a release date planned for some time in Spring 2010, while Project Natal looks set for a late 2010 release.

One thing’s for sure, with the backing of EA there will be plenty of exciting sporting titles ideally suited to motion-sensitive technology on their way. We can’t wait!
