Denon DNP-720AE network audio player offers Wi-Fi and AirPlay
Denon’s new DNP-720AE could be the perfect solution for gadget fans wanting a network audio player. As part of a separates system, you’ll still have to buy an amp and speakers, but the Denon DNP-720AE itself has a lot to offer.
With digital entertainment playing an increasingly large part in our lives, network audio players are great gadgets when it comes to accessing music from your computer and playing it back through your home stereo.
The Denon DNP-720AE does exactly this, with both Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections for cabled or wireless connections. It also features Apple’s AirPlay technology, so you’ll be able to stream music straight from an iPad, iPod Touch or Apple iPhone.
There’s an OLED screen for navigating through extensive music collections and displaying the songs you’re currently playing, and you won’t just be restricted to streaming your own music collections.
Thanks to the network connectivity, you’ll be able to play back music from internet radio stations around the world, and there’s a USB port on the Denon DNP-720AE for those who just want to plug in an MP3 player or mobile phone.
At £430, the Denon DNP-720AE isn’t cheap, but it is a classy device and promises top-notch build and audio quality. It also blends in perfectly with Denon’s other separates products, including amps, speakers and CD players.
