Dell Wasabi hops on the PoGo
Dell's new portable printer adds some spice to Polaroid's party
So what does a hot Japanese spice that you eat with sushi got in common with Dell’s new photo printer? They’re both called Wasabi! Why Dell’s adopted the name for its portable printer is anyone’s guess, but we like to think its because, like the spice, their printer is hot!
Alright, that’s a really bad joke, but the Dell Wasabi is anything but bad. This pocket-sized rival to the Polaroid PoGoproduces 2×3-inch prints with sticky backs, presumably for albums, and like the PoGo, it uses ZINK technology (which means zero-ink) for super-fast printing (55 seconds per print!)
Similarly to the PoGo, the Wasabi is Bluetooth-enabled for handy wireless connections. But it still has USB ports if you prefer the cable route for hooking up to a computer or camera. You can get around 15 prints per battery fill, so make sure you make your pics count!
It’s available in three colours (blue, black and pink) and will cost around £69. That’s almost half as much as the Polaroid PoGo, but be warned: paper costs more for the Wasabi! Still, this is one hot little printer. Just don’t try eating it with your sushi!
