Control your kitchen with your iPod

The Gadget Show  Monday 08 September 2008

Control your kitchen with your iPod Cooking via iPod? Whatever next!

Putting the kitsch in kitschen (we know that’s not how you spell kitchen, but the joke won’t work otherwise), the bods at Gorenje and Apple have put their heads together and come up with a way for you to roast a beef joint from your office desk.

How? Well, with some food-friendly software from appliance kings, Gorenje, you’ll be able to take culinary control of your Wi-Fi oven through an Apple iPod Touch.

Once set up wirelessly your food should be ready and waiting for you to devour like a hungry sow at feeding time.

The iGorenje (naturally) program also has a neat range of presets that are perfect for achieving cooking perfection whatever your tastes. But it doesn’t stop at food. If you’ve left home and forgot to put the washing on, you can just start it up with your iPod Touch.

The future starts next year when it’ll be rolling out to hungry and forgetful iPod touchers. Bring it on…
