Cheaper music streaming from Sonos now available
It seems like streaming is the future of home entertainment, letting you listen to your favourite tunes in any of the rooms you go in. Sonos is king when it comes to streaming, but a lot of its kit is fairy expensive. On a cheaper scale, the Sonos PLAY:3 is the latest streaming device, and it looks just like an iPod dock.
The PLAY:3 is a single unit – it features integrated speakers, and the same sort of generic shape we’ve seen out of lots of iPod docks. There’s no actual dock here, however, as the PLAY:3 streams music from other connected gadgets.

It also has a couple of tricks up its sleeve – as well as being able to use Wi-Fi to stream music from gadgets like your iPad or laptop, the PLAY:3 can also stream music from internet radio stations, or even the likes of Spotify.
When it comes to actual sound quality, the Sonos PLAY:3 boasts three speakers beneath the neat looking grill, with a tweeter and two mid-range speakers. There’s also a sub woofer of sorts at the rear, helping to provide balanced sounds.
Available now, the Sonos PLAY:3 costs £259.

How on earth is that cheaper !!! I would need one for each of my bedrooms so that's gonna cost a small fortune.

Being a fan of SONOS, it's great to see they have introduced a smaller, cheaper model. We have the S5 in one of the bedrooms and it's just a little too large and powerful. To see this version at a £100 cheaper compared to the S5 is a great option which I will be purchasing. The capabilities of the SONOS system & quality is well worth the price in my opinion,
