Canon unleashes affordable EOS 550D
Canon's latest EOS superstar
Canon has revealed its latest over-achieving D-SLR, the EOS 550D. Following on from the 500D, the latest arrival comes packing Canon’s powerful Digic 4 processor and an all-new 18-megapixel sensor, offering full HD video shooting and light sensitivity from ISO100 all the way to 6400.
The 550D brings several features already seen further up the Canon product range to a more affordable price level. In-camera noise reduction promises improved low-light shooting, while nine-point autofocus and 14-bit processing ensure creative control and accurate results. And speaking of creative control, exposure compensation of up to plus or minus five stops, and bracketing of up to two are sure to keep even the most imaginative of photographers satisfied.
On the video front, being able to shoot full HD movies at 24, 25 or 30fps ensures maximum flexibility. Step down to 720p and you can shoot at 50 or 60fps.Videos, and of course all the glorious pictures you’ll take with the 550D, are bound to look their best on the 3in full-frame Clear View screen.
The EOS 550D goes on sale on February 24, and will set you back just shy of £800 body only.

Nice DSLR but still £800 for the body and add the cost for the lense unless you already have some its still a lot of money. You have to be into photography if your thinking about buying this.
