Canon launches entry-level DSLR in a range of new colours
The Canon EOS 1100D – also known as the Canon EOS Rebel T3 in the US – is Canon’s entry-level DSLR offering. We’ve always been impressed by the image quality on offer, but Canon is now offering the T3 in a range of bright colours, following in the footsteps of Panasonic and other camera manufacturers.
The Canon EOS 1100D, or EOS Rebel T3, is already one of the more attractive digital SLRs on the market – it’s compact, curvy and affordable. Now Canon is trying to make it even more desirable with the launch of a host of new colours.
Up until now, Canon has restricted its SLR models to either black, or occasionally silver. The latest revision sees its EOS Rebel T3 – and we presume the UK EOS 1100D variant at some point – available four different colours.
You’ll be able to choose from red, brown, metallic grey and black. As with rival products, the kit lens remains black, but at least the splash of colour will help you to stand out from the crowd.
Would you buy the Canon EOS Rebel T3/EOS 1100D in different colours? Or will you be sticking to black? Leave a comment and let us know.

colour is just about customer preference not everyone wants to have a black camera, as you said people would like to stand out from the crowd , it gives them more personality

i bought an eos rebel some 15 yrs ago, yes it's a film camera, and it takes as good of photos now as the day i bought it! fantastic camera by canon and would recommend (and have many times) it to anyone. the fact you can use it in different modes.. ie totally automatic or manual is great. the new colors are a great idea and adds a bit of variety to just black..

I don't think the colour will matter as long its not trying to overshadow any specifications of the camera, saying that I do like the red, and yes I am a Canon fan

great idea, but I can imagine the white colour, or colour near the L lenses, this would be really cool. I have Canon eos 7D, when there coul be new model in this class I prefer to buy it :) happy to read about canon move fashion into their cameras. that‘s all folks.

The camera colours are only available in certain places, I think silver is Jessops, Brown is sold in N.Ireland, Red is sold by one shop In Britain and black is normal, I have the T3 from America, I've had it about 6 weeks and it's very good, video is good, only down point is NO sensor cleaning, this is available on the replaced version, so video has replaced sensor. Hope this has helped Ray.
