B&W Zeppelin gets a little brother
B&W Zeppelin too big for you? Then check out its tiny sibling...
Going mini seems to be the flavour of the moment. After Nokia unveiled the N97 Mini recently, now it’s the turn of everyone’s favourite zeppelin-shaped iPod dock: introducing the B&W Zeppelin Mini!
Okay, so the Zeppelin Mini doesn’t exactly retain the shape of the original, which makes the name a bit redundant (apart from the Mini part of course). What B&W has done here is “attain the same high standards in sound quality and design, but in a more compact form” – you know, so you can put it in he kitchen, bedroom or wherever, without having the footprint the size of Sasquatch.
You’ll still get the awesome Zeppelin-sound then, thanks to advanced Digital Signal Processing, but B&W’s also added new features including an updated docking arm (that rotates through 90 degrees) and USB connectivity. The Zeppelin Mini also adds the ability to stream music direct from your PC or Mac via USB. Nice!
If it’s anything like its big brother then we’re in for a real treat. The B&W Zeppelin Mini hits the UK in October with a not-so-mini price of £299.
