Browse the web with the Acer DX341H Web Surf Station
All-in-one PCs like the Apple iMac blur the line between computer and monitor, but Acer has gone the other way with its DX341H Web Surf Station screen, offering a display that doesn’t need a PC to connect to the web.
At 24 inches, the Acer DX341H looks like a regular, albeit attractive, PC monitor. It provides a Full HD 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution, and the 16:9 aspect ratio should also be perfect for watching movies via your computer.
Acer’s latest monitor has a neat trick up its sleeve, however. Unlike most other screens, you can use this one without a PC, and it offers full internet functionality. This means you’ll be able to search the web near instantly or browse your favourite YouTube clips.
It also features DLNA connectivity, so it can share content with other digital devices, such as laptops. When you do want to hook it up to a PC, you’ll be able to do so via VGA or HDMI ports, with USB ports also built-in.
Available in May, the Acer DX341H costs £299.
