Breville Hot Cup is no mug!
Breville's "instant brewer" – slapping other kettles in the face with a soggy tea bag
It appears, and we could never have predicted this, that the kettle industry is currently all hot and bothered about which kettle can boil up water the fastest. Entering the ring now is the Breville Hot Cup with a boast that it can boil up some water in an instant… and by instant it means a couple of seconds.
We’ve seen the Tefal Quick Cup, which can boil a mug of water in three seconds, and thought that was quick. Well, the Hot Cup comes right back at it with its own energy-saving offering. Just press a button and it boils just the right amount of water for a cuppa in a couple of seconds, thus saving time and energy, which consequently saves you money. Natch.
It’s out now and costs just £60. But can you really put a price on an instant mug of cha? Er, yes. And it’s £60, like we said.
