BlackBerry Slings when it’s ringing
BlackBerry and SlingPlayer Mobile join forces
Calling all Slingbox owners! From December 30, you’ll be able to tap into it wherever you are in the world, with SlingPlayer Mobile for BlackBerry.
The new software is going public for BETA testing at the end of this month. It’s not 100 per cent perfect yet, but it should be stable enough for you to use without too much going awry.
So which of BlackBerry’s magical mobiles will it support? So far the Storm’s not included, but it will work with the Bold, Curve, 8820, 8320, Pearl Flip 8220 and Pearl 8120.
It’ll work over 3G and Wi-Fi connections and, as you’d expect, it’ll let you change channels and control the Slingbox remotely. All of which means you can catch up on your daily dose of Neighbours on Five as and when. Now that’s what we’re talkin’ about!
