BlackBerry Curve 9360 snapped up by Vodafone

Another day, another new BlackBerry. This time it is RIM’s latest addition to the Curve series of entry-level BlackBerry handsets. The early Curve ‘Berrys were a pretty sparse bunch with no 3G or wifi but the BlackBerry Curve 9360 looks like a much better deal.

The Curve 9360 has the same 2.44 inch Liquid Graphics display as the recently released BlackBerry Bold 990. Being a BlackBerry it also comes with a great full QWERTY keyboard (we are choosing to forget the BlackBerry Storm. Shh.) as well as an optical trackpad instead of a trackball.

3G now comes as standard, as does wifi and because the Curve 9390 uses BlackBerry 7 as its operating system, you might actually enjoy using both of these to browse the web – the new OS comes with a reworked web browser that uses the industry standard WebKit back-end to render web pages, just like iOS and Android.

A five megapixel camera is a nice addition and this one has enhanced depth of field, an LED flash and built in face detection for easy focusing on your friends ugly mugs. Storage is via microSD/SDHC cards and the BlackBerry Curve 9360 can take cards up to 32GB, which should be ample to store you pics and video clips as well as a decent library of music to listen to via the media player.
