Biggest Apple Store on earth opens in London tomorrow
Apple Store – going supersize
The largest Apple store in the world is set to fling its doors open to the public tomorrow morning at 10am. The Apple Store, Covent Garden makes history by being the biggest Apple retail outlet to date, beating both the previous London flagship store on Regents Street and Apple’s massive store on 5th Avenue in New York.
Inside, you’ll find 300 staff catering to your every need, plus the world’s longest Genius Bar. The store also sees the debut of the new Pro Labs training programme, which offers eight hours of professional tuition on a selection of Apple software for free. You don’t have to take it all at once either, just book yourself in for classes, follow the curriculum and Apple promises you’ll reach a “professional standard” in applications such as Final Cut Pro, Aperture and Logic. Nice.
There’s also set-up rooms to help you connect up all your new booty and a chance for one-to-one Mac tuition.
If you’d rather just play around with new Apple products by yourself, you’ll also find 56 Macs, 30 iPads, 40 iPods and 30 iPhones to handle. Apple has, of course, also promised some freebies for the first through the doors, so expect queues to be building now.
Are you heading to the Apple Store in Covent Garden tomorrow? Let us know your thoughts below…

Ok, now you're just advertising....

If you watch The Gadget Show it's full of advertising, maybe that's how they're able to give away large prizes to viewers? I'm struggling to understand your comment. (MyVoiceinYrHead) Thanks for the news Gadget Show team.

Numerous commenters on here cry-out at TGS for just being Apple Fanboys and pushing Apple products. Untill now I've defended TGS as atleast the posts were news worthy. The opening of a store, albeit the largest so far, is pointless. An article highlighting that TGS will be tweeting / vblogging live from the opening would atleast be interesting. If you don't live in London, like 85% of the population, this news has no relevance. Of course TGS advertise - look at the Currys Digital and McDs ads on the WebTV and that is how they afford the prizes. What TGS won't admit is product placement. All tech blogs (Crave etc) are open that they review whatever is sent through the post to them. TGS haven't commented on whether they review stuff that isn't available in a Dixons store.

Well... 1. This is news about, essentially, a gadget brand. Therefore, gadget news. But... 2. Who cares if they're advertising, for whatever reason? I check this website regularly for gadget news. Almost all of this info appeals to me. I'll admit i have a macbook, imac, iphone, and ipod. But i still like to be updated on what other companies are producing. So yeah thanks =]

Gadget show hasn't been about the 'tech' for a long time. If you watched this weeks show. it contained about 2 minutes about the iphone4 and the rest was about either the show itself/it's presenters or the prize giveaway. It's a shame it used to be entertaining and informative, it's become neither. It's essential a tool to get 50p from each caller who enters the draw, nothing more, nothing less. 5th Gear is the same, common thread, both on 5 both made by same team. Perhaps a twitter/facebook campaign to get everyone to enter by mail would snap them out of marketing mode and back to some kind of tech review show.

I disagree with "MyVoiceinYrHead". Think about it, people like myself don't tend to check updates on Apple constantly... but to hear about that store being opened in London (and being larger than the one in New York) brings a slight smile to me. + It's beneficial to announce it on here as it is a gadget show site AND it is APPLE they're on about. + Freebies to those who 1st visited it. - I am a big apple fan and you see far less advertising of APPLE then you do of DELL or any other PC/Windows systems/manufacturers. It's really just Iphones that are being advertised on the TV - this is due to companies such as Carphone warehouse, trying to sell more than their rivals.
