Behringer iNuke Boom: The 8ft iPod dock with monster sound

Taking the concept of iPod Docks to new heights, Behringer’s iNuke Boom is an 8ft wide, 4ft tall iPod dock weighing over 700 pounds capable of delivering an ear-numbing 10,000 watts of audio grunt.

Just look at the thing. It’s massive. Look a little closer and you can just about make out the iPod. Have you spotted it yet? Read on for more on this giant of a sound system.

Those curious, or even daring enough to want to listen to the Behringer iNuke Boom in all its glory won’t find it in stores just yet. Its first public appearance will be gadget convention CES 2012, where attendees will at first hand be able to hear its power.

Behringer’s iNuke Boom will also be compatible with Apple’s iPad and iPhone. However, with great power comes a high price. The Behringer iNuke Boom iPod dock will cost a whopping $30,000. For that price Behringer promises “professional, live concert sound” in the home at what the company calls “amazing value.”

The oversized itself is a sleek looking piano black system with clean lines. Good luck attempting to find somewhere to put it: though chances are those willing to part with the cash shouldn’t have too much trouble.
