Asus launches new Eee PC The world's favourite mini-notebook gets its umpteenth overhaul

As mini laptop enthusiasts The Shaman will testify: Eees are good! And that’s why we’re stoked about the news that Asus is set to officially launch another in its ever-expanding waist-line of netbooks.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about the Eee 1002HA, but Asus has now officially confirmed its imminent arrival. So what can we expect from it? Well, open up the sexy brush-metal finished exterior and you’ll reveal a 10-inch LED backlit screen.

Those premium features may sound like a bit of a departure from previous Eees, such as the Asus Eee PC 900, but the rest of the specs are more in-line with the £449 price tag: An Atom processor, 1GB memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 160GB hard drive, 1.3-megapixel webcam, card reader and a choice of Windows XP or Linux operating systems.

All of that and it weighs a mere 1.2kg, making it Eees-y peasy to carry around. Sorry, we couldn’t resist that one.
