The Asus Eee PC 1004DN is more than just a pretty face: it has an optical drive too!

You may have noticed that netbooks have become quite popular of late, lauded for their portability and sexuality, well the Asus Eee PC 1004DN actually adds something extra without compromising on its small dimensions: an optical disc drive.

The Asus Eee PC 1004DN still has a plentiful 10-inch screen, but it’s also lifted the lovely keyboard direct from the Asus Eee PC 1000HE, which means it won’t feel like you’re prodding a mobile phone keyboard with a giant’s hand. It’s also ditched the white plasticky casing from the early Eee models, and gone with the sexy look from the 1000HE.

It’s got your usual Eee PC innards – an Atom 1.66GHz processor, expandablle RAM up to 2GB, a 120GB hard drive plus Bluetooth and Wi-Fi – but it’s that DVD drive that makes this netbook a prince among netbooks.

Asus still hasn’t given us a release date or price yet for the Asus Eee PC 1004DN, but rest assured, as soon as we know, you’ll know.
