If battery life is a measurement of how good netbooks are, then the Eee PC 1000 HE is a doozy

Asus has provided more than its fair share of mini pproducts over the past year or so, and with the Asus Eee Wi-Fi keyboard and Asus Eee PC T91 on their way that doesn’t look like letting up. Now, the company famed for shrinking down PCs is launching an ‘extended’ version of the Asus Eee PC 1000 – the Eee PC 1000 HE.

It’s predecessor was an excellent netbook, and now with a battery life of 9.5 hours, this one’s even better. That’s enough stamina to see you through at least two Kevin Costner epics, if you want.

So what else can it do apart from outlasting the Energizer bunny? Well, it’s got an Intel Atom processor, 160GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and that nice 10-inch screen.

Price-wise, you’ll be looking at spending around £299, but surely that’s a small price to pay for such an awesome mini performer.
