Wake up in style with the Archos Arnova

For the most part, clock radios are much of a muchness, offering mostly the same basic features and focusing on doing a simple job well: waking you up in the morning.

Not so with Archos’ new Arnova, which takes the classic clock radio concept and throws in some seriously advanced digital features seldom before seen on a bedside gadget.

Leading the way is the 3.5in touchscreen that dominates the front of the Arnova. Aside from giving you an easy-to-use interface and cutting down on the number of buttons on the unit itself, this touchscreen is also a gateway to 1,500 web TV channels, so you get your day started with a bit of telly first thing in the morning.

Of course, there’s also audio streaming too, with around 12,000 online stations to choose from. Or you can simply connect the Arnova up to your home network and enjoy some tunes that way.

Sounds good to us. Now all we need is for Archos to let us know how much the Arnova will cost, and when we’ll be seeing it on the shelves.
