Archos Android Internet Tablet gets a date...
Will the Archos Android Internet Tablet look anything like the Archos 5?
Hold on to your hats folks, the Archos Android Internet Tablet – the company’s first PMP that’ll allow you to ring up loved ones and not-so-loved ones – has now been priced and dated.
According to the French company’s financial results for 2008, the Multimedia Internet Tablet, as it’s being referred to, is now scheduled for release at the start of Q3 (or July in normal speak) – a full two months ahead of the perceived release date for the Archos Android Internet Tablet. Also, it’ll cost around £470.
More details of Archos’ forthcoming Internet Tablet are still more scarce than a compliment from Sir Alan, with the company’s Financial results releasing no further news about the Android-toting sucker. What we do know is that it’ll have a 500GB hard drive, support Flash and have a five-inch screen.
In other Archos news, the company has just released a firmware update for its Archos 5 and 7 players that’ll allow its players to support video playback in 720p. That’s right folks. Glorious HD in your hand. It doesn’t get much better than that. Unless you’ve got a hot dog in the other hand. Then it’s awesome.
