I am an archos fan having used their products for a number of years,
I currently own the archos av 500 which I have been very happy with, The reason I haven't upgraded to a newer unit with all the bells and whistles and why I will hesitate to buy the tablet is because these newer units don't have an ir receiver built in as does my 500, when I go on holiday with the 500 all I need are the av cables to play out to a tv and I can use my remote control from the comfort of the hotel sofa.The newer units only enable you to do this if you lug around the docking station to anywhere you go which undermines the portability aspect.I'd be happy if the mini docks had this facility built in but they don.t.
