Apple Magic Trackpad official
Apple Magic Trackpad – click, scroll and flick
The Apple Magic Trackpad that was hotly tipped to be part of today’s Apple announcements has been given the official nod. The Bluetooth trackpad is a enlarged version of the multitouch trackpad tech built in to the MacBook Pro, but made into a peripheral so that it will play nice with any Mac equipped with Bluetooth.
The Apple Magic Trackpad is 80 per cent larger than the previous MacBook Pro trackpad. As well as being wholly multitouch – allowing you to flick, scroll and flick with ease – the entire surface will act as a button, so that you can click it in the same way you would your mouse.
The Magic Trackpad runs on two AA batteries that slot into an area at the back that keeps the device at the same height and angle as the current Apple Wireless Keyboard.
You’ll need OS X Snow Leopard on your Mac to make use of the Magic Trackpad and it’ll set you back £59. What do you think? Will this replace your mouse? Let us know below.
