Apple iPad incoming imminently?
Rumours have been doing the rounds that Apple’s famous iPad could be heading our way as early as the end of the month, 26 March to be precise… and that Apple might be offering a gift for anyone willing to camp outside the store.
Theexaminer.com website claims that an Apple store manager in California let slip that the iPad’s release date was at the end of March, although store staff would be able to experience one from 10 March.
The manager also confirmed what Steve Jobs said at the launch, the iPad 3G will not arrive until either April or May. The first iPad commercial is apparently set to air on March 15.
Perhaps the most juicy gossip to come from the loose lips of said store manager is the fact that eager Apple fans who are willing to camp overnight would be in for a special free gift. Better dust off those sleeping bags right now…

As I can't afford both, I think I'm going to wait for the next iPhone instead. If the gadget show wants to send me a free one, I'd appreciate it very much! lol! :-D

To an untrained eye its like a big iPhone, however the possibilities are endless with the iPad, sure it may be basic software and hardware wise at first (from what we have seen), but think of the software updates & upgrades.. iPad v2 may be better hardware wise (with a webcam that has been rumored, and speed/spec improvements) but for a first i think it is a must have if you have funds to fuel your gadget needs, it will be interesting how it stacks up to the other tablets out there BUT Apple are known to rake over (take the iPhone, nothing has come close to beating it at the moment) so with that in mind i think iPad will be a strong seller, Apple have not failed so far.. can't see them failing with the iPad either, you may hate their domination but you sure cant ignore it, what they seem to release is a top seller... is it just a perfect marketing plan or do they actually provide stable, reliable and sexy looking tech, everyone has a different view on that one but i can't fault them for the iPhone 3G S at all, and i have used many smartphones!

The possibilities are NOT endless. The possibilities are within the realms of what Apple deem appropriate. It's a very exciting product and will help promote the Market for us all much like the iPhone did for smartphones. But it's flawed before it even gets out of the gate. :( One things for sure, the future of mobile tech is very exciting.

Looks like it'll be late April now, its even on the apple website. Looks like I will have to wait another month for one.

I didn't buy an iPhone because, whilst it's brilliant in so many ways.=, the camera features are week and the screen too small. I bought the HTC HD2 because it's screen is a much bigger and the camera/video support is too. I envy the number of iPhone apps though. Now we effectively have an iPhone (OK, without the 'phone bit' (and no camera at all) with the mother of all screens. I hate the omissions but, for the sake of all those wonderful apps, I'll probably sell me soul to get one as soon as I possibly can. It's a shame Apple always seem to come up with 'near perfection' but, what the hell... nobody's perfect!
