Apple iLife 09 launch imminent
Get a life. Get iLife 09. Or not. It's up to you...
Hot software news now, people. Apple’s latest incarnation of its creative software, iLife 09, hits the Apple Store tomorrow.
We first caught sight of the new software at MacWorld, and what a sight it was too – given that the only other thing of note was the 17-inch Macbook Pro. An uprgade for the existing iLife, it boasts upgraded versions of iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand.
The iPhoto upgrade offers Faces and Places – which allows for geo-tagging your snaps and face detection. Great if you have a non-descript visage and a terrible memory for locations. iMovie, meanwhile, gets a Precision Editor (we could do with one of those!) and video stabilisation to get rid of your alcohol-fuelled wobble in your home movies. GarageBand 09 gives you optional tutorials from none other than Sarah Bareilles, Norah Jones and the Bee’s arse – Sting!
It all comes for the extra cost of £69, so if you fancy getting told what to do by Sting, then get your wallet out…
