Android Snowman selling like hotcakes

The Gadget Show  Tuesday 07 December 2010

Android Snowman selling like hotcakes Ho ho ho, said the Android

It’s been a big day for Google, what with the launch of the latest version of Android and the second ever phone to carry Google’s own name.

So how about celebrating with your very own Android snowman toy from DYZPlastic, just to get in the Christmas spirit Android-style.

Designed by artist Gary Ham, this dinky mini collectible is dressed up in fetching green and black striped scarf and top hat, with the obligatory snowman carrot nose and movable arms and head.

Say what you like about Android itself, but this frosty fellow – complete with snowflake dimples – is the perfect stocking filler regardless of what phone you use, and best of all it’s going for an entirely reasonable $10.

The only bad news is that the Snowman Android has proven so popular each batch that goes on sale is snapped up in double-quick style, and it appears there’s just one more chance to get your hands on one before Christmas. The final batch of the year is set to go on sale online on Thursday morning at 4am UK time, and if you are going to get up early, be aware you’re limited to one per household.

Another piece of pointless plastic junk... If it can't make the Christmas dinner I'm not interested.
