Altec Lansing InMotion Air incoming
Bluetooth streaming goodness - coming soon
We spotted Altec Lansing’s InMotion Air speaker back at CES a month ago, and now the Bluetooth-friendly music system is set to go on sale.
It works with any device with Bluetooth on board, including laptops, mobile phones and of course iPods and other MP3 players, and will perform its audio magic up to an incredible 100m away without any loss of fidelity.
“Users want access to their music at all times, whether it’s from their computer libraries, their mobile phones or portable players,” Altec Lansing says. “The inMotion Air delivers freedom from the confines of wires so that the benefits of rich, crystal clear sound can be shared anywhere.”
That crystal clear sound is such that Altec claims the InMotion Air will offer CD quality audio no matter what degree of file compression is involved in the tunes you’re listening to.
The battery is good for a generous seven hours of listening time before you have to recharge, and there’s full support for iTunes and Windows Media Center.
Available in slate black or gunmetal grey, the InMotion Air will be available later this month at Apple Stores, John Lewis, Dixons and PC World for £180.
