Acer to join the ten-inch club
Acer’s Aspire One is about to get shrunk down to a lap-friendly ten inches
So Dell. You thought you were going to get it all your own merry way with the Inspiron Mini 9 did you? Well think again, because Acer will be launching its own mini version of the Aspire One just after Christmas. And not because it’s had too many mince pies.
This ten-inch Aspire will also be followed by more sizely 15.6-inch, 14.1-inch and 12.1-inch Acer laptops, all of which will come with LED backlighting. But it’s the ten-incher Aspire One that we’re most excited about.
Spec-wise it’s still a bit of a mystery, but judging from larger Aspire One models, it looks likely to be 3G-enabled… especially as the Inspiron Mini already boasts it. And you wouldn’t want to be trumped by Dell now, Acer, would you?
