Acer revs up new Revo!
As Kirk once said to Scotty: "More power!" And that's exactly what Acer's done here...
More nettop news today folks! And barely a day after Asus announced its redefined budget PC, Acer’s getting in on the act with the Acer Aspire Revo 3600. It’s got more processing power than Robocop!
The current Acer Aspire Revo is one of our favourite nettops. That’s why we’re so excited about this new box. But given the old Revo could already handle HD video what’s Acer given the update to get us all in a spin over this ‘top? How about a new Atom 330 dual core processor and a comparatively whopping 4GB of RAM? Oh yes.
That makes it as specced out as the new Asus. But you can be sure that Acer will be trying to undercut their big rivals, especially as the origibal Revo cost a mere £150! Okay, there’s still no word on release date or an official price, but as soon as we get more details we’ll let you know. This could be the bargain of the decade!

Watched your last show and in particular the nettop showdown test. It's all well and good to run 1080p video, music encodering etc all at once to test the overall performance of the netops but I prefer I better solution. How about playing a game such as WoW on the netops as this game would trully test the performance capabilities of the netops as they combine the various medias e.g. cinematics, animation, music etc etc as well as testing the streaming capabilities of the netops by sending and receiving the information of the game. HA how about that then mmmmmmmmm???

Hey quite an informative article. I really like the specifications. I bought an Acer Timeline 4810T a month ago and its really doing well. The Acer is celebrating 10 years in India on 9-Sep-09. There are many that will swear by their Acer laptop computers and this is amply evident when you come across a great many advertisements expounding on the virtues of such laptops. However, it is not such a good idea to go by advertising claims alone and it is also necessary to first check out different manufacturers and sees what’s on offer before making a considered decision. It should give you peace of mind that Acer is a worldwide company and it is known for providing practical and first-rate solutions for the marketplace. For this reason it will be worthwhile to consider an Acer Timeline. No wonder they are leaders in notebook market in India.

Any word yet on the release date? ive been looking around and i cant seem to find anywhere reasonable selling them yet i've seen a few unboxings on you tube??
