Acer RevoView: another new HD media box
Acer's new HD-streaming box of tricks
In the unlikely event you were feeling restricted by the burgeoning collection of HD media streaming boxes now on the market, Acer has come along with the RevoView to up your options still further.
This compact network media streamer is able to handle HD content in all sorts of different formats and from a wide range of sources. These include memory cards, USB-connected devices, DLNA-certified devices around the home, online services including YouTube, Picasa and Flickr, not to mention its own internal hard drive – though you’ll have to supply the 3.5mm drive yourself.
You can go as high as 2TB if you choose, and enjoying your 1080p video – regardless of the source – is as simple as hooking up the RevoView to your HD TV via HDMI cable.
The Acer RevoView isn’t available quite yet – you’ll have to wait until after the weekend to get your hands on one – but that’ll give you the time to get the £119.99 asking price squared away.
