Is Acer's Ferrari 1200 the fastest laptop ever?
The greatest computer-car laptop collaboration is back!
Remember the Acer Ferrari 1100? Well, a year on, the computer and car double act are at it again with the Acer Ferrari 1200 ultra-protable laptop.
Revving onto our shelves in the next couple of months, the Acer Ferrari 1200 has a 12.1-inch screen that’s housed in a carbon fibre lid. It’s powered by a gas-guzzling AMD Turion X2 Ultra dual-core mobile processor and does nought to 4GB (memory) in no time. The AMD M780G chipset, meanwhile, means you’ll get some gaming grunt out of this motor.
Luxurious extras include a SATA hard drive, a slot-load optical drive, Dolby Home Theatre sound, Wi-Fi and a backlit screen. But, let’s be honest, the reason you’re buying this if for the prancing horse on the front. Now, just close your eyes, get friends to hurl abuse at you, and pretend you own the real thing…
