Acer AZ5 and AZ3 multi-touch all-in-one PCs launched

With laptops and tablets taking over the market, desktop PCs are having to become more sleek to stand a chance. The Acer AZ5 is an all-in-one PC, with an attractive and distinctive design, and features including a multi-touch display.

The new Acer AZ5 looks like a stylish, affordable and reasonably well equipped all-in-one PC. It features a 23-inch display, with a smaller 21-inch screen being offered by the similar Acer AZ3.

As the large icons in the image suggest, the Acer AZ5 and AZ3 both offer touchscreen displays, although we’re not sure this makes a huge difference on a desktop platform. Sure, it’s nice to be able to flick through websites, but if you’re anything like us then the desktop will sit at the back of your desk, with the keyboard between, making it a bit of a stretch to actually reach the screen.

Features-wise, there’s a choice of Intel Core processors on the Acer AZ5, with the entry-level Acer boasting a Core i3 chip, 4GB of RAM and a 1TB hard drive. The entry-level AZ3 uses a dual-core AMD chip and a 500GB hard drive, although you’ll be able to upgrade in both instances.

Do you still have a desktop PC? Or have you switched entirely to using a laptop or tablet? Leave a comment and let us know.
