..with its new Sim Zero £0 a month contract! Can't say fairer than that!
We never thought we’d see the day that a zero contract would arrive, but that day is here courtesy of 3… ladies and gentlemen, introducing the Sim Zero £0 a month contract!
Getting something for nothing is always nice. And from June 17 3 customers will be able to enjoy free Skype-to-Skype calls and IM (on phones like the INQ1) without paying a penny! The SIM Zero contract allows you to join 3 at no cost and with minimal ties, so you can just pay for any chargeable calls at the end of each month. Simples.
And that’s how this tariff will make money: by charging for any extras that you use. And trust us, you will use them. Unless you have more will power than a Trappist monk who’s just got his finger trapped in the door. Standard calls cost 20p per minute, texts 10p each, and it’s 30p per MB of data – outside the Skype calls and IMs of course. So you could still run up a bill.
Still, this is an ideal situation for customers who don’t want to be tied down to a lengthy contract. Just make sure all your friends are on Skype and make the most of it! Right, what other freebies can we find…
