Yab-a-DAB-a-do!
We expect more from our DAB radios than just being able to blare out our favourite radio stations. The latest radios are solar-powered, egg-timing, eco-friendly, multi-talented sound boxes. It’s the kind of hi-tech multi-tasking that the 21st Century man demands. But which is best?
I got to grips with 20 of the latest DAB radios, and whittled them down to my top five using a set of demanding criteria: style, feature-set, portability and sound quality.
Making up the top five I had the likes of the Roberts Solar Powered Radio, which as the name suggests, has a solar panel on the top and runs entirely on light! Then there’s the Dualit Kitchen Radio – it looks as stunning as it is solid and has a built-in rechargeable battery (whether you buy the matching kitchen blender and toaster is up to you). The Roberts Ecologic 2, meanwhile, squeezes out a whopping 120 hours from the battery!
Needless to say I don’t want to spoil the results for you, so you’ll have to watch the video to find out which radio comes out top. Well? What are you waiting for?
