Wimbledon gadgets: All the toys you'll need!

Wimbledon is already underway, but as it hots up and gets closer to the serious end of the competition, we thought it worth putting together a gadget guide for those of you thinking of going along. If you are heading to Wimbledon, read on to see what all-important gadgets you should be taking.

iPod Touch The chances are you won’t need an iPod at Wimbledon, but it’s always worth taking one along just in case. If you were unlucky enough to sample Cliff Richard’s impromptu sing-a-long a few years ago, we’re sure you’ll agree, but it’s also worth having some backup entertainment in case play is called off or postponed for the day.

Pentax WG-1 GPS camera If you’re heading over to Wimbledon, you’ll be needing a camera to record the occasion. While those of you lucky enough to be on centre court and sheltered by a roof will be fine if it rains, the Pentax WG-1 is the perfect gadget if you’re on one of the outside courts, continuing to take snaps whatever the weather.

Nubrella Another gadget for those paranoid about the rain, the Nubrella is an umbrella with a difference! More compact, and with an entirely unconventional design, the Nubrella fits closely around your head and shoulders – so should be perfect for Wimbledon. You don’t need to hold it, so can continue drinking your port and lemon, and because it’s compact and transparent it won’t be as off-putting for those sitting behind you.

Samsung Galaxy Tab With so much of Wimbledon at the mercy of the weather, and with lots of other games going on simultaneously, there can be times where you’ll find yourself with nothing to do. The Galaxy Tab is the perfect gadget, letting you play games, check out the web and other Wimbledon scores, or just keep in touch with the Gadget Show while you have nothing better to do.

Camelbak 2011 Fourteener With temperatures hitting 30 degrees at Wimbledon this year, it can be blazingly hot while watching tennis. The Camelbak 2011 Fourteener is a compact and stylish rucksack that incorporates a drinks reservoir, letting you keep hydrated (or attempt to smuggle alcohol into Wimbledon) while also storing all your other Wimbledon gadgets. Perfect!
