Will the Apple Tablet ever appear?
Apple Tablet – the most famous fictional gadget?
It’s been the most-hyped non-gadget of the year,and news has just come in today that Apple’s mythical iTablet is still as far away from reality as ever.
Although there’s been leaks from patent companies and, most recently, magazine publishers, as to the existence of the Apple Tablet and what its capabilities will be, it still remains as elusive as a unicorn on the Tube.
Apple, of course, are keeping schtum, which is a fantastic policy – the less they say, the more Apple fans and tech watchers speculate and the more press this probable product gets.
What would you look for in an iTablet? Would you buy one if it came out tomorrow? Let us know below…

Dunno if i'd buy it immediately, but we all know how attractive apple products can be so im sure it would be very tempting. if anyone has seen the wacom cintiq tablet then maybe some of those features will be included in the apple one if it ever exists? obviously the wacom cintiq is only screen and not an all in one device but still an impressive piece of kit that should be checked out!

Since im a huge fan of apple products such as the iphone, i would definatley buy it as soon as it came out no matter what the price.

I dont see where it would fit in? Surely its halfway between an ipod touch and a Macbook (both of which I'm sure most Apple users already own) without the advantages of either. What would be the point, other than just to "have" the latest Apple gadget. I'm sure it'll be very nice when it arrives but I dont see who's gonna buy it other than diehard Apple fans.

It will be here, but the question is WHEN! I am sure that Apple have a number of items that they are working on right now and if the customers (thats you and me) demand it or the industry makes it cheep enough then we will have it. who would have thought that we would want all of our music in our pocket, but Apple were developing the iPod way before we all know we wanted/needed it. I just cant wait till they come out with the next thing we all can't live without in our lives.

I heard a rumour about the Apple Tablet featuring an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) which dont require a backlight, which means the battery would be pretty nice.

i'm already saving up for it i have no idea what i'd use it for - it's not going to be as portable as the iphone, so therefore no use out and about, nor will it be as powerful as my macbook, so not much use in the home either but all i know is i want it and i need it i'll find a use later
