Volanic watch takes timely to new level

This flame-slicked watch takes the phrase timely to a new level. Made by watchmaker Romain Jerome, the Eyjafjallajökull-DNA actually uses rock and ash from the actual volcano in its construction.

It seems that the glacier and volcano that caused all those untold travel woes has a bit of a silver lining, if you like posh watches that is.

Romain Jerome has supplied a certificate authenticating the materials used, so you can own your own piece of history – and a rather fiery-themed watch to boot. Jerome has also also made a watch that uses actual moon dust from the Apollo 11 mission.

There’s no price for this one-of-a-kind timepiece yet, but we’re guessing it’s going to be pretty damn expensive…
