Watching the skies
To pass the post-Christmas slump doing something constructive, I braved the winter weather and decided to go stargazing with the help of the Celestion Sky Scout. It’s a device that’s as sci-fi as it sounds, as it will let you view and identify over 6,000 planets, stars and constellations using GPS, and accelerometer and a compass. It’ll pinpoint exactly where you are and overlay information onto a clear screen. It certainly beats watching repeats on TV. Elsewhere, Ortis tests text-to-speech converter, Natural Reader, which will convert websites or ezines to MP3 format so that you can simply pop them on your MP3 player and away you go – just the thing to accompany your New Year fitness regime. Ahem…
