The Gadget Show's Suzi Perry scoops T3 award

The Gadget Personality of the Year

Apple and HTC may have dominated the top prizes at the annual T3 Gadget Awards, but The Gadget Show’s own Suzi Perry stole the show in her own right when she was named Gadget Personality of the Year at the prestigious event last night.

Suzi held off competition from Charlie Brooker and Jonathan Ross to take the honours, succeeding renowned Apple fanboy Stephen Fry in the process.

Speaking of Apple, it capped off yet another strong year by picking up the main prize of Gadget of the Year for the iPad, which was also named Innovation of the Year, while the iPhone 4 claimed the Commuter Gadget of the Year prize, the Macbook Pro the Computer of the Year award and the Apple Store the prize for retailer of the year.

Mobile rival HTC took the prestigious Tech Brand of the Year title, meanwhile, while the HTC Desire followed up last year’s Hero in taking the award for Phone of the Year.

Suzi’s victory was well deserved, and a reflection of her infective and refreshing enthusiasm for the love of all things gadget – traditionally seen as a slightly geeky pursuit.
